It’s been a busy summer that featured a number of really enjoyable collaborations with fellow guitarists. It was a joy to play again with the great Louis Stewart at JJ’s, it had been a few years. Also at JJ’s, I had a fun gig with London jazz guitar legend Terry Smith.

Scottish guitarist Nigel Clark and I performed a series of duo gigs at the Sligo Jazz Project, promoting our latest CD “The Day of the Duo”.

Another wonderful event was the Grant Green tribute, a five nighter with the great Scottish guitarist Jim Mullen and Nigel Mooney (w/Scott Flanigan on organ and Dominic Mullan on drums).
A different experience was a concert at the Killaloe Chamber Music Festival with flamenco guitarist John Walsh and classical guitarist Redmond O’Toole. We each performed solo sets and then played together for the finale, a great vibe.

The Sligo Jazz Project was a blast and is a real credit to Eddie Lee and co. I enjoyed the concert with the DCJO and guest Ernie Watts. Also a really fun low key gig with Eddie Lee and Ciaran Wilde and the great legendary Us drummer Adam Nussbaum. We were also joined by the wonderful Paul Clarvis on drums.
